Grey Bruce Health Network is a voluntary partnership which includes the following five health care providers:
Grey Bruce Health Services (GBHS)
Grey Bruce Health Services was formed in 1998 when five hospital corporations came together. GBHS includes a 170-bed hospital in Owen Sound, rural hospitals in Lion’s Head, Markdale, Meaford, Southampton and Wiarton, and a clinic in Tobermory for a total of 256 beds and a team of about 1,600 dedicated personnel. GBHS is also a designated teaching hospital, affiliated with the University of Western Ontario. Across these facilities, GBHS’ Owen Sound Site is a regional referral facility offering more than 60 services including: a broad surgical program that includes orthopaedics, urology, otolaryngology, gynocology and general surgery; oncology; regional laboratory; dialysis; mental health services; inpatient and ambulatory care; and a full range of diagnostic imaging services including MRI. All hospital sites have inpatient beds and 24-hour emergency services.

Hanover & District Hospital (HDH)
Hanover & District Hospital is an 80-bed facility with more than 200 staff that serves a population of approximately 17,000 in the town of Hanover and its surrounding region. HDH provides a full range of primary care and selected secondary care services including 24-hour emergency. Among its many services are a Diabetes Education Program, diagnostic imaging, dialysis, obstetrics and birthing centre, physiotherapy and a surgical unit. The recently opened medical clinic, next to the emergency entrance of the Hospital, operates on a turn-key basis and accommodates up to 15 physicians, a laboratory, pharmacy, optometrists, and other health related businesses.

South Bruce Grey Health Centre (SBGHC)
South Bruce Grey Health Centre serves a community of approximately 44,000 people, plus 10,000 seasonal residents and 30,000 tourists across four rural hospital sites in Kincardine (36 beds), Walkerton (38 beds), Chesley (15 beds) and Durham (19 beds). More than 400 people work at these facilities, all of which offer 24-hour emergency care. Other services include physiotherapy, audiology, obstetrics and gynecology, diagnostic imaging and bone densitometry. Each hospital has its own lab facility.

South West Community Care Access Centre (CCAC)
The South West Community Care Access Centre is a team of 200, helping people with acute or chronic illnesses, disabilities or those who need to find placement in a long-term care facility. Health care workers provide services in the home or school throughout Grey Bruce region. This organization is funded by the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care. Offices are located in Owen Sound and Walkerton.

Grey Bruce Health Network
The Grey Bruce Health Network is a collaborative of the above-listed five corporations covering 11 hospitals – Grey Bruce Health Services (6 hospitals), Hanover and District Hospital (1 hospital), South Bruce Grey Health Centre (4 hospitals) – as well as Grey Bruce Health Unit, which promotes and protects health, and the South West Community Care Access Centre (CCAC), which provides home health care for the region. The network fosters a collaborative spirit whose primary goal is to provide quality patient care in a cost-effective way.
