Grey and Bruce counties form the northern corner of southwestern Ontario, with Grey the eastern half and Bruce the western half.
According to the 2001 Census, the total population is 152,965. About one quarter of the population is 19 or younger, more than half are between 20 and 64, and less than one quarter are over 65. About 1,500 native Canadians live on Cape Croker and Saugeen Reserves.
